This trend has been all over TikTok for the past few weeks and if there is one thing about me, I love stuff. I love seeing what other people are buying and what their favorite products are, especially when we get super niche (or super luxurious).
Since I no longer have a desire to make TikToks, I figured I’d bring my recommendations here. Some of these things are expensive, but that’s the whole point of the trend, in my opinion.
Estee Lauder Skincare
Full disclosure, I work for Estée Lauder (shameless plug, go subscribe to our new Substack) but that doesn’t influence my opinion on the products. I’ve tried so much skincare over the past 13 years that I’ve been in the beauty industry and nothing holds a candle to Estée skincare, specifically the Advanced Night Repair line.
Advanced Night Repair Serum is genuinely one of the most important products in my life. I know that sounds dramatic but the serum is liquid gold. It has so many benefits, is great for sensitive skin, and is designed to help reduce the appearance of sleepy skin (which is a real thing). I’ve been at Estée for 4 years and I think I’ve gone through dozens of bottles at this point, but even if I didn’t work there, I’d still be purchasing it.
I’m also obsessed with Revitalizing Supreme+ Moisturizer (both the day and night) and the Advanced Night Repair Eye Cremes (one for dark circles and lines & wrinkles).
Slip Silk Products
Years ago, I started buying Slip Silk eye masks, then I transitioned into exclusively using their scrunchies, and then more recently I bought silk pillowcases.
The products, while expensive, are worth every penny. They significantly make my days better and I refuse to use anything else.
Regular scrunchies, specifically the thin, black elastic ones, always left a dent in my hair or were so tight that I’d get a headache. With the Slip ones, my hair always stays nice & smooth and I never get a headache. They also last a very long time — I’ve had some scrunchies for years and you’ll probably be a little more careful about not losing them since they are so expensive.
When it comes to the eye masks, I never sleep without one, even if I nap. They are very comfortable, keep the light out and while yes, they fall off during sleep, I still think they’re worth it.
The decision to finally buy silk pillowcases was because I was sweating so much at night and my hair was constantly getting twisted while I slept. There has been such a notable difference since using them with not having any night sweats and feeling so much more comfortable through the night.
The investment is well worth it to me for usefulness, quality and how long the products will last you.
Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM
I told you, we were going to get expensive. Now, this might feel very basic and off trend but I don’t care. The Neverfull MM is a classic bag for a reason and it’s because it is one of the best bags out there.
I have two Neverfulls — monogram and Damier Ebene, and I use them constantly. I’ve had them for a little less than 10 years, and I can’t imagine not having them. I use them for work, for running errands (when I have a few more items than normal), traveling and everything in between.
They is a reason they are called Neverfulls — no matter what, they are truly never filled. They are comfortable, lightweight and truly versatile to fit whatever you need it for. Of course it’s an investment, but I bought both mine used (and was able to get the straps repaired by Louis Vuitton which is a great service).
I’ve used so many different totes, have bought so many different types of work bags but at the end, I always go back to the Neverfull. There is nothing like it.
Bombas Socks
Socks are usually not something you want to spend a lot of money on. You wear them almost daily, they notoriously get lost very easily and they’re quick to wear down. However, Bombas socks are worth the investment ten times over. I have exclusively worn Bombas socks for perhaps a decade at this point and I’ve never looked back. They are incredibly comfortable, the quality is fantastic and they offer more support than regular socks thanks to the compression and arch support that is built into every pair.
They come in a variety of colors and and silhouettes — from knee high to ankle to no show. The great thing that I’ve found about Bombas is that they last! The color doesn’t really fade, they don’t tear easily nor does wear easily show. I’ve had pairs for years and they still look and feel brand new.
If they’re a little too expensive to splurge on, wait for a sale because they are worth every penny.
Nespresso Machine
I don’t have the patience or interest in becoming an at-home barista. I want something simple that is going to give me delicious coffee without much fuss. Over the years, I’ve had regular coffee pots, Keurig machines and a different Nespresso machine and while I liked all of them fine enough at first, I got bored or my coffee tastes & needs changed.
When I moved out of my mom’s house, I let her keep our Nespresso because I was ready for something different. The coffee was too strong and too expensive, so I moved on.
But, here we are two coffee machines and three years later and I had to repurchase the Nespresso. It really makes the best coffee with the least amount of effort. There is truly nothing like Nespresso coffee, even if you’re not making espresso which I usually don’t.
This time around, I bought the Vertuo Pop+ machine, which has gotten mixed reviews but (knock on wood) I’ve been loving it lately. I didn’t need a huge, fancy machine — just something that was going to give me good coffee, quickly.
If you’re someone who doesn’t want to fiddle with a machine like a Breville that takes a bit of a learning curve, I can’t recommend a Nespresso enough.
Once again, this might be basic & obvious to someone, but it’s just one of the best purchases I’ve made in a while.

That’s so cool you work for Estée Lauder! I also have all the same night creams and serums from them. I agree they’re worth the money and for me they last for a while so it’s worth the investment. I am going to have to try the Bombas socks! I don’t normally use an eye mask but the one you have reccomended here looks really nice. Other products I think are worth the money… for make up I think when it comes to foundation it’s good to splurge a little. I love the Christian Dior forever foundation. I also love their lip oils, but normally go for a less expensive one. I just started using the Tarte tubing mascara and I really like that too! I also think investing in a nice hand bag and wallet in classic style are great too. You don’t have to go overboard with price but just something a little more high end.
