Photos That Defined a Year in the Bravosphere
You know there's multiple Scandoval photos featured....
2023 was a big year for Bravo and further secured it’s status as a household name. We have one word to thank for that: Scandoval.
It was the name on everyones lips, and Ariana Madix was our heroine. When you have a reality show moment on the ticker tape at the bottom of CNN you know you’ve made it.
2023 was the year of Bravo becoming mainstream, but it was also a huge year within our own walls. There were goodbyes, comebacks, love triangles, divorces, DUIs, and fights aplenty. It was a beautiful year where being a Bravo fan was a badge of honor and a bundle of fun.
So I now present…my favorite Bravo photos of 2023.
Brynn’s Red Bottoms: There has never been a housewife who I have loved the way I love Brynn Whitfield. It used to be B*thenny, I could say it’s Heather Gay, but there is just something about Brynn. In what will be an iconic Bravo moment for years to come, my queen lost her shoes like Cinderella going to the ball at Bravocon. They got stuck in an escalator and history was made.
White Nail Polish Tommy: In what spawned a battle between one of my favorite journalists, Stephanie McNeal & Mr. Scandoval himself, is a lovely photograph of Tom Sandoval holding his head in his heads post-Scandoval reveal…and all you can see is pain, despair, and white-out nail polish. Lives and nails were changed that day.
Salt Lake Butter Bonnets: Salt Lake is having one of the best housewives seasons yet and it remains my favorite franchise. I love my snowy ladies and they always deliver iconic moments, usually in dress up. We saw a lot of costumes from the Salt Lake City women this past season but nothing beats fighting in bonnets while churning your own butter. It’s hilarious, obscene and only makes sense to a Bravo watcher.
Sonja Tremont Morgan: When I heard that Sonja & Luann were going to be remaking The Simple Life but it was titled “Crappie Lake” I knew we were in for a treat. Nothing sounds more perfect to me, and my favorite RHONY Legacy women delivered. Sonja Morgan giving Richard drunk bedroom eyes while at a dive bar nearly sent me over the edge. She’s a national treasure.
Thank You, You’re Welcome: Denise Richards triumphant return to Beverly Hills has been playing out on our screens for the past few weeks and it’s been a delight. She deserves to be on the show, whether it’s in a guest starring role or as a Diamond holder and now that R*nna is gone, I’m happy to have her back. The Weed Dinner at Kyle’s house gave us some hilarious moments that can only be chalked up to cough syrup blues and this center photo is a hilarious snapshot of the entire night.
Ariana ‘For You To Die’ Madix: Nothing prepared us for Scandoval & nothing prepared us for the way the world rode for Ariana…a bravoleb I was lukewarm on until this year. Her sit down with Sandoval two days after finding about the affair gave us appointment television as well as an Emmy award winning screengrab. You can feel the rage, the anger, the sadness and disappointment behind her eyes, you can hear her scream just by looking at the picture and it sums up everyone’s thoughts about the scandal.
Mary Cosby: I was excited for Mary M. Cosby to return to our screens and even though she’s been absent more than she has been present in season 4, her comic relief is welcomed. Her facial expression when finding out that the Trixie Motel doesn’t have room service is a perfect way to capture her overall mood.
Doute Returns: I wasn’t super excited to hear that Jax Taylor was returning to Pump Rules in the 11th season, even if it is just for an appearance or two, and I honestly don’t care about any spinoff that doesn’t include Stassi…but I was happy to see Kristen Doute and her flip flops return to our screens and to really get the last laugh at Tom Sanoval. When I saw her flip flops come onto the screen, I was tickled.
Conspiracy King Craig: Craig has been having a bang out season on Southern Charm mostly due to his personal growth but whenever you put him alongside Shep & Austen, Craigy is always going to come out on top. When the Southern Charm trailer was released and we saw the cast wearing tinfoil hats, I couldn’t quite grasp how we got there but finding out that Craig loves a conspiracy theory, and hearing him explain the tinfoil hats was hilarious. And he looks so adorable in it!
Cheers to many more fun, scandalous and shocking moments to come from our favorite network in 2024!
