Weekly REPORT #52
a great fall week.
A year’s worth of Weekly REPORTS…what a feat! Thank you for reading all of them!
This week was difficult. My boss left the company and got a new job, much to my chagrin and it was her last few days. It was so sad, I love her so much and she was honestly the best boss I’ve ever had. It was a very emotional, taxing few days and then figuring out a new normal without her also took a toll.
But then, on Friday, we got to listen to a new Taylor Swift album! That was definitely the highlight, even if the people on the internet hate it so much and think Taylor should be taken to the guillotine for producing such garbage!!
My full thoughts on The Life of a Showgirl will be coming to your inboxes this week and spoiler alert — I love it. But I also love anything that Taylor puts out so perhaps I am biased.
Let’s get into the report…
READING
After finishing Such a Clever Girl in basically one sitting last week, I dove head first into Late Night Witches by Auralee Wallace. It was a little touch and go at first but now I’m hooked and I like this world she has created. It’s a perfect witchy October read.
EATING
I sat in the movie theater on Friday evening and ate an entire bag of popcorn & a box of Buncha Crunch, and it was delightful.
PLAYING
Do I even have to say it?
OBSESSING
I have been LOVING all the ‘Guides to October/Fall/Etc’ on Substack lately! There’s just something so cozy about reading how other people are spending the coziest time of the year. Below are just a few articles I’ve enjoyed.
RECOMMENDING
The Rare Beauty fragrance ‘Rare’ is the quintessential fall scent. It’s warm, cozy, and rich with gourmand notes. Caramel, pistachio, vanilla and sandalwood are the notes that make up this delicious fragrance and I can’t get enough. I bought the travel set a few weeks ago that comes with a travel spray and a mini rollerball (that looks just like the uniquely shaped full size bottle), and it’s worth every penny.
TREATING
When I saw the new Emi Jay collection I knew I wouldn’t be able to resist. I love nothing more than a winter themed, cozy accessory so these clips were too cute to pass up. I bought the cream colored Big Effin Clip adorned with brown bows, and it’ll be my go-to for the rest of the year.
I curated the entire collection here — there’s even more adorable clips available on Emi Jay’s website!
Have a lovely week!
xo.
