WEEKLY REPORT #78
and sephora sale recommendations
This was a strange week that both flew by and went too slow. The weekend was calm, productive and relaxing but tomorrow I have to go into the office — for the first time, on a Monday, since March 2020.
I am not pleased.
Truthfully, my brain is mush right now and I don’t have much else to say so let’s get into the report…
READING
I finished reading First Lie Wins and I loved it! I feel like I saw somewhere that it got bad reviews but personally, I thought it was a very interesting book with a ton of twists; it was planned very well, from beginning to end, the plot and subplots were linked in intricate ways and I loved all the characters.
My Libby hold was up on Olivia Muenter’s latest Little One and I’m already 20% of the way through, and its fascinating.
EATING
I had Chipotle for dinner after work this week, and it was heavenly. I have the palate of a 5 year old, so don’t judge the contents of my burrito bowl.
PLAYING
I watched the Laguna Beach Reunion on Friday night and cried my eyes out. Laguna Beach, to millennials, was so important. It was really the first reality show we watched and fell in love with. If you didn’t continually say to your friends ‘we would have such a good reality show like Laguna Beach’ in 2005, I don’t trust you.
It was so cool to see them all together again, to hear some behind the scenes snippets, and really get to the bottom of LC vs Kristin. I loved every moment of it, and while I wished that we got to see more extended scenes of them actually in Laguna, I appreciated it for what it was.
I want to write something this week about Laguna Beach, the impact of it and the reunion as a whole so stay tuned.
OBSESSING
Sabrina Carpenter’s Coachella set altered my brain chemistry. I watched the full thing while working out on Saturday morning and I’ve never been more locked in. I was entranced; she is the pop star we deserve right now. She is for the girlies, as much as some people want you to feel differently and I am so happy to be alive to witness her rise to stardom.
The set, the outfits, her voice, the dancing — everything about the performance was a 10/10 and I will be watching it on loop for the foreseeable future.
RECOMMENDING
The Sephora sale is finally here and I’ve organized all my recommendations in my ShopMy.
TREATING
On the same note, I placed a stupid Sephora order that contained three lip products of similar shades. See everything I purchased here.
